Michelle is a Louisville-based freelance writer reporting on the intersection of culture, agriculture and the built environment in the south.
Michelle has covered the spirits industry, southern foodways, urban community development, labor and diversity for Marie Claire, VICE, Salon, Business Insider, Southerly Magazine, Louisville Magazine and more. She is the creator of the forthcoming podcast From Here, which explores stories from Asian communities across the South, midwest & rural America.
Michelle is also a script editor for the Adweek Podcast Network show The Great Fail, as well as co-producer and editor for the Just Security Podcast from NYU’s Weiss Center for Law & Security, which covers emerging stories and breaking news about global conflict and human rights policy, with expert insights.
She earned an MA in Journalism from New York University.
