Diep Tran is the Editor in Chief of Playbill. Diep has spent her career championing diversity in the arts. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, NBC Asian America, New York Magazine, and many other publications. She was previously the features editor of Broadway.com and the senior editor of American Theatre magazine. She is one of the creators of VietFactCheck, a bilingual fact-checking website for the Vietnamese American community. Diep is a contributor to the book “RISE: A Pop History of Asian America from the Nineties to Now,” from Harper Collins. She once interview Keanu Reeves and was the first journalist to ask him about being Asian, she did that for the culture.
