Your Role

As the Marketing and Communications Coordinator, you will play a key role in elevating Gold House’s brand across events, programs, and channels. A significant portion of your work will focus on managing guest communications for high-profile events, like the Gold Gala, requiring meticulous spreadsheet management and quick responses to guest inquiries. You will also support broader marketing efforts, including managing communications for programs such as Gold Creators, ideating questions for proprietary content series, developing engaging social media content and copy, and managing press lists. Working closely with cross-functional teams and volunteers, you will help shape our brand voice and perception for many different audiences. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, balancing creativity with precision, and brings exceptional organizational skills, a passion for storytelling, and a commitment to advancing Gold House’s mission of uplifting the Asian Pacific community.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize detailed guest lists and RSVPs for large and small events using event management software and spreadsheets, ensuring accurate, up-to-date tracking.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and email communications to ensure a seamless experience for VIPs and partners.
  • Support communications efforts for marketing programs and content series by developing external messaging and independently managing outreach timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager in developing social media copy and content, with an eye for engagement and reach.
  • Maintain and manage press lists, ensuring accurate and up-to-date media contacts, and press features.
  • Assist with press outreach, media kits, and announcements for key initiatives and events.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of full-time, professional experience
  • A polished writer with an eye for storytelling, detail, and precision.
  • Has a keen eye for detail; able to spot inconsistencies and ensure accuracy across all communications and materials.
  • Obsessively organized and highly skilled at managing multiple deadlines, projects, and priorities without missing a beat.
  • Experience juggling numerous emails from different audiences, with the ability to respond quickly and professionally to inquiries.
  • Familiarity with platform trends, algorithms, and best practices for social media.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and volunteers to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong alignment with Gold House’s mission and excitement to evangelize Gold House’s brand to the wider public.
