Michele Kang is a trailblazing businesswoman and investor dedicated to advancing women’s sports across the globe. As the first woman of color to own a National Women’s Soccer League team, the Washington Spirit, and the majority owner of OL Féminin and London City Lionesses, Kang continues to set new standards across the industry. In 2024, she launched Kynisca, the first multi-team global organization focused on professionalizing women’s football, demonstrating its long-term commercial viability and cultural impact.
Since launching Kynisca, Michele has made multiple impactful investments and donations in the women’s sports ecosystem, including teams like USA Women’s Rugby, U.S. Soccer and organizations reinventing the blueprint for equipment like IDA Sports.
Michele has been recognized as a Power Player in Women’s Sports by Sports Business Journal and one of the 50 Most Influential Figures in Sports by Sports Illustrated.
