Gold House is a cultural platform where culture shapes global opportunity.
We sit at the intersection of entertainment, entrepreneurship, and cultural advocacy, reshaping society through a multi-pillar ecosystem: Entertainment (cultural consulting, marketing, and promotions); investment funds like Gold House Ventures (technology) and Gold House Studios (original productions); accelerating the next generation through Futures; and mainstream cultural change (Gold100, Gold Gala, cultural holidays, media networks, and more). Our work has earned global recognition across mainstream society, while our community includes the most influential creators, founders, and executives across industries worldwide.
We are an ambitious, lean, world-class team devoted to making history and shattering ceilings — and we are growing. If you are excited to define the next wave of culture that brings us all closer, we’d love to meet you.
About Gold House Ventures
Gold House Ventures (GHV) is an early stage venture capital firm that focuses on top multicultural and Asian Pacific-founded startups. GHV Fund I (2022) is a $30MM vehicle that has invested in 75+ companies alongside firms such as a16z, Sequoia, Founders Fund, General Catalyst, Accel, Goodwater, NEA, and Lightspeed. Our in-house founder fellowship has graduated 115 startups that have raised $2B since 2020; placed dozens of multicultural board members and advisors at startups through our One House Leadership Coalition; and convened the world’s leading celebrities, creative franchises, and promotional opportunities to help our portfolio scale.
Your Role
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Venture Portfolio Operations Associate. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of innovative startups, contribute to the growth of our portfolio, and gain exposure to a diverse network of Asian Pacific founders, investors, industry executives, and creators.
Responsibilities
- Portfolio Support: Assist portfolio companies with strategic and operational needs (i.e., business development, partnerships, talent), and creatively and adaptively use technology tools to optimize these processes.
- Fund Operations: Manage and improve our internal platform tooling that powers our investment tracking, relationship management, and founder onboarding/resources.
- Marketing and Communications: Support partner projects and brand/marketing initiatives which could include things like content (e.g., newsletter, podcast, blog), events, and more
- Data Analysis: Perform data wrangling, cleaning, and analysis to extract actionable insights for internal processes and portfolio companies.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and nurture relationships with founders, co-investors, industry experts, and other external stakeholders to enhance Gold House Ventures’ network and visibility within the startup ecosystem.
Requirements
- You must be based in Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco Bay Area; or the New York City/Tri-State Area – with occasional work travel to firm events.
- You have 2-4+ years of relevant work experience ideally in management consulting, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or a high-performing technology startup. Prior experience at a venture capital fund – or similarly high-paced, portfolio-driven working environment – is nice to have, but not required.
- You are an excellent writer and value clear, elegant communication.
- You have obscenely high attention to detail and hold yourself accountable to ensuring projects are delivered completely and on time — you set expectations, never abandon them, and are comfortable holding others to this too.
- You are proactive, have a bias towards action, and can operate under pressure in a composed way when managing multiple projects at once in a rapid-evolving environment.
- You have a “no job is too small” attitude and are excited to roll up your sleeves and solve all types of problems.
- You strive to rapidly accelerate in your career. You have a near-insatiable appetite to expand your knowledge and capabilities and aren’t afraid to try new things.
- You communicate like a pro and get energy from bringing people together to execute efficiently and effectively. You enjoy putting structure around processes to make them scalable.
- Last but not least, you are passionate about Gold House’s purpose and share our mission of uplifting the Asian Pacific community.
