The Role

Gold House lives at the intersection of storytelling, commerce, and community. Through our Social Platforms, we spotlight major media moments that feature our vast community, that have the potential to spark long lasting cultural impact, and that engage our eager audiences. The Social Media Contractor will support our team by delivering high-impact content strategy and execution for our social channels. This role will focus on producing engaging content—particularly reels and carousels—that resonates with our audiences, drives engagement, and reflects our brand voice.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to ideate and execute social-first content strategies
  • Create, edit, and optimize short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, etc.).
  • Design and produce high-quality carousels, graphics, and visual storytelling assets.
  • Repurpose long-form content into bite-sized, engaging social pieces.
  • Quick editing and turnaround in high-paced entertainment and media environment 
  • Support around Creator community & content

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience in social media content creation and strategy.
  • Proven skills in editing short-form video (Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or similar tools).
  • Strong design abilities for carousel and static content (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent).
  • Deep knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
  • Strong copywriting ability with a knack for short, impactful storytelling.
  • Organized, self-directed, and comfortable working in a flexible contractor capacity.

Commitment & Compensation

  • This is a part-time, contract position with flexible hours.
  • Work will be assigned on an as-needed basis
  • Compensation commensurate with experience: $1-$1.5K per month
