Niharika (Niha) Elety is a climate activist and fashion designer who uses fashion, photography and art to bring awareness about sustainability and its connection to cultural heritage. Niha is also the founder and CEO of fashion brand, Tega Collective, a sustainable fashion enterprise that champions Adivasi (indigenous) communities from India and promoting regenerative agriculture. Passionate about the intersection of culture, climate, and couture, Niha collaborates with artisan communities to create exquisite, eco-conscious textiles that honor tradition while protecting the planet.
Since 2015, Niha has gathered 50,000 followers across her social media platforms and has worked with the United Nations, Remake, Slow Factory, EPA, Intersectional Environmentalist and sustainable brands like Gabriela Hearst, Stella McCartney and other independent fashion labels. Featured on Vogue, Elle, The Voice of Fashion, Global Fashion Summit and more, Niha remains committed to amplifying a variety of BIPOC perspectives speaking at fashion summits, universities, conferences, podcasts and youth organizations.
Through Tega Collective, Niha is redefining luxury by centering indigenous wisdom and sustainable materials, ensuring fashion can be both exquisite and environmentally responsible. As a Gold Green Grant finalist, Niha is on a mission to scale Tega Collective’s impact—bringing visibility to artisan-made fashion, innovating with sustainable materials, and proving that fashion can be both ethical and elegant.
