Son to Van Dam Van and Chau Tran, Mike’s parents immigrated to Sacramento California in 1975 as refugees from the Vietnam War. Born shortly after in Sacramento, then raised on the West Side of Oahu while spending his summers in Los Angeles, Mike ended up living in both Los Angeles and New York while making his career in Advertising, Media, and Marketing at world renowned brands such as TBWA/Chiat Day, Complex, Electronic Arts, and Pandora. 25 years later, Mike became the President of Billboard who is responsible for the entire brand that includes all aspects from revenue operations to global IP expansion. In his previous role as Executive Vice President of Global Brand Partnerships Mike oversaw global monetization across all of Billboard’s revenue channels. He is an avid fan of all genres of music, currently resides in Sherman Oaks CA, is father to twins Mila and Luca, and married to Julie who in her own right is a successful executive at E-Sports team 100 Thieves.
