Marvin Chow

VP Global Marketing, Google

Marvin is currently a Vice President of Marketing at Google. He leads Global Marketing for some of Google’s largest and most strategic products including Search, Maps, Shopping, the Google Assistant, Photos, Health, AR, and Google AI. He also oversees Google’s global response to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as efforts in social marketing and the Google News Initiative.

 

Prior to Google, Marvin worked in strategy, marketing, and general management. Most recently he was at Nike, where he led marketing efforts for Greater China, Japan, and Korea, as well as strategic global projects like NIKEiD and NIKE+. His career also spanned a number of different brands such as Nickelodeon, Reebok, and starts-ups created by Michael Jordan, John Elway, and Benchmark Venture Capital. In addition, he is an advisor to startups like WayUp, GIFS.com, Visdom, CapitalG, and Gradient Ventures. He is also an LP in Human Ventures, Y-Combinator, TrailMix Ventures, Empire Angels, Gold Line, and Bread and Butter Ventures.

 

Marvin, his wife JiYoung, and their daughters Polaire and Ceboline currently reside in the Noe Valley neighborhood of San Francisco, CA.
