Lulu Wang, Vera Miao, Gursimran Sandhu & Janice Y.K. Lee

Lulu Wang was born in Beijing, raised in Miami, educated in Boston, and currently works in Los Angeles as a filmmaker. Wang began her career in documentary films and after making the transition to Hollywood in 2007 has worked on titles including Rush Hour 3 (Warner Bros.) and Superbad (Sony Pictures). Known for writing and directing the comedy-drama film The Farewell (A24), she received the Independent Spirit Award for Best Film and the film was named one of the top ten films of 2019 by the American Film Institute.

Vera Miao is a writer, director, and executive producer who is known for writing on Expats (Amazon). Credited for writing on Fear the Walking Dead (AMC), Miao also wrote, created, and executive produced the psychological horror anthology series, Two Sentence Horror Stories (The CW).

Gursimran Sandhu is a writer, director and producer who is credited for writing on Fallout (Amazon), Expats (Amazon), Invasion (Apple TV+), Citadel (Amazon), and more. She is currently a co-EP on Julie Plec and Carina MacKenzie’s We Were Liars (Amazon).

Janice Y.K. Lee is a Hong Kong-born American author, known for her best-selling debut novel The Piano Teacher. Author of The Expatriates, she is credited for adapting this 2016 novel into the drama series Expats (Amazon) for streaming. The series stars Nicole Kidman, Sarayu Blue, and Ji-young Yoo.
