Raycaster

Raycaster (YC F24) automates manual, research-intensive workflows for life sciences, starting with commercial teams. From biotech startups to life sciences giants, our customers save hundreds of hours monthly analyzing papers, patents and clinical trial data for strategic insights. They leverage evidence-based research and recommended actions to close more deals and partnerships. These insights naturally spread, and Raycaster is building the intelligence platform for broader life sciences functions.

Levi Lian is co-founder of Raycaster, featured by TechCrunch as one of four startups every enterprise should watch from YC F24 batch. Inspired by his family’s work – a fourth-generation doctor mother and his father in scientific sales – and recognizing the immense time burden of technical research in biopharma, Levi launched Raycaster with Anthony. Previously, Levi drove product innovation at Uber, Intuit, and Solvvy (acquired by Zoom). Leveraging his AI and product expertise, Levi is accelerating scientific progress at Raycaster. He was an Accel, 8VC, and True Ventures Fellow and recipient of the 2024 PM Award. Levi holds a B.S. in Symbolic Systems from Stanford.

Anthony Humay is co-founder of Raycaster, leveraging deep AI/ML and design skills honed at Meta, Apple, and Snap. At Raycaster, he pioneers human-centered AI agent design to transform scientific workflows and build proactive intelligence, based on his work at Apple and Meta AI. Coming from a PhD family immersed in research, Anthony is a serial innovator from his middle school startup, bringing domain understanding and empathy. Anthony holds a B.S. in Computer Science from UCLA.
