Kathryn Kai-ling Frederick is currently the Chief Marketing Officer at the Los Angeles Rams. In this role, Frederick leads all areas of marketing and media including brand strategy, experiential, creative, game presentation, social, digital, performance analytics and content. Since joining the Rams in 2021, Frederick’s work has spanned an award winning 2022 Draft Film featuring Hollywood’s own Scott Eastwood, Josh Holloway and Tyrese, innovative, first of its kind gameday AR programming and most recently, a black history month film celebrating the untold story of Kenny Washington. Under her leadership, the Rams Marketing team continues to chart the course for sports marketing and cultivate the next generation of fans.
Prior to joining the Rams, Frederick was Chief Marketing Officer at Live Nation Entertainment where she helped connect over 300 million global live event fans to music, theater, and sporting events through robust CRM and digital marketing and data centric programs. Frederick evolved the Ticketmaster Marketing and Product organizations to enrich the fan engagement experience by bringing together data, technology and the magic of live events to acquire, inspire and engage fans. Frederick was honored as a Billboard Power Player in 2018 and 2019.
Prior to Live Nation and Ticketmaster, Frederick held several senior roles leading digital and business transformation at brands such as Yahoo!, Modern Luxury Media and Pricegrabber. She is an advisor and investor in a number of early-stage consumer technology companies and participated in the 2016 White House Summit of the United State of Women.
Frederick was born and raised in Los Angeles. She earned her BA from Bryn Mawr College, her MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, and her MPA from Harvard Kennedy School. She currently lives in Inglewood with her husband Chris, and her two daughters, Kylie and Charlotte.
