JON M. CHU
Jon M. Chu is known for his visually stunning blockbuster films, as well as his kinetic work across various genres from groundbreaking series to commercials and films. Most recently, Chu directed Universal Pictures’ critically acclaimed WICKED, starring Oscar-nominated actresses Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, which garnered an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. Part 1 of the feature film adaptation of the record-breaking musical phenomenon released in theaters on November 22, 2024 and quickly became the highest-grossing Broadway musical adaptation in box office history earning over $700 million globally. His memoir, Viewfinder, is his journey from growing up in the Silicon Valley to transitioning to Hollywood and helming major studio projects, released Summer 2024. The book is an uplifting tale of belonging, creativity and learning to see who you truly are. His recent projects include the critically acclaimed adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning musical IN THE HEIGHTS for Warner Bros. as well as the worldwide phenomenon CRAZY RICH ASIANS, which was nominated for numerous awards, including a SAG Award, a Golden Globe and PGA Award. It is one of the top 10 highest grossing romantic comedies of all time and the highest in a decade. It was also the first contemporary studio picture in more than 25 years to feature an all-Asian cast and opened a new chapter in Asian-American representation in Hollywood. Chu is in post-production on WICKED: PART TWO, which is set to release on November 21, 2025, and is attached to develop to direct the biopic for Britney Spears based on her memoir, The Woman in Me, with Universal. He is also in development on Dr. Seuss’ OH, THE PLACES YOU’LL GO! with Warner Bros and JJ Abrams’ Bad Robot, which will be his first animated film set to release March 2028.
MICHELLE YEOH
Michelle Yeoh is an internationally acclaimed actor known for her powerful presence, versatility, and groundbreaking roles across global cinema. Rising to fame in Hong Kong action films, she became a global icon with performances in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Crazy Rich Asians. In 2023, she made history as the first Asian woman to win the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Everything Everywhere All at Once. Yeoh is celebrated not only for her acting but also for performing her own stunts and breaking barriers for Asian representation in Hollywood.
BOWEN YANG
Bowen Yang is an Emmy®-nominated comedian, actor and writer. Bowen stars in Universal Pictures’ Wicked as ‘Pfannee’ alongside Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jeff Goldblum and Jonathan Bailey. Adapted from the Tony award-winning Broadway musical, the film follows Elphaba, a misunderstood young woman with green skin, who forges an unlikely but profound friendship with Glinda, a student with an unflinching desire for popularity. Following an encounter with the Wizard of Oz, their relationship soon reaches a crossroad as their lives begin to take very different paths. The film was released in theaters November 22, 2024. Bowen can currently be seen on his 6th season of Saturday Night Live as a repertory player on the show. Joining the show as a writer in 2018 and becoming an on-air cast member in 2019, Bowen has achieved critical acclaim and has gone on to receive three Emmy® Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Bowen stars in Andrew Ahn’s remake of the 1993 romantic comedy, The Wedding Banquet opposite Lily Gladstone, which had its premiere at Sundance Film Festival in January. The film will be released on April 18. Additionally, Bowen currently hosts the acclaimed iHeartRadio podcast, LAS CULTURISTAS, alongside fellow comedian Matt Rogers, where they take listeners on an unforgettable journey into the beating heart of culture. Garnering rapid success, the podcast was named Podcast of the Year at the 2023 iHeartRadio Podcast Awards. Additional film and television credits include Searchlight Pictures’ Fire Island, Universal Pictures’ Bros starring opposite Billy Eichner and Luke MacFarlane, A24’s Dicks: The Musical, Comedy Central’s Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens, where he played Nora’s cousin Edmund. Bowen was also featured in 2021’s TIME 100Artists. Bowen currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
