What inspired you/your team to create this company?
My cofounder (Annie Hwang: https://www.linkedin.com/in/annhwang) and I started Jemi due to a shared passion for creators. Annie was a product lead at Facebook on their creator monetization team; I was a product lead at Uber with a background in music production. We realized content creators needed better ways to monetize online and wanted to be the ones to build these creators’ new favorite tool.

Annie and I were classmates and best friends at Harvard and have been working together for 6+ years, so the decision to start a company together came intuitively. We’re inspired everyday by the creators we support, and only hope to continue providing leveraged impact to creators around the globe.

As our founding team is of Asian descent, we’re incredibly committed to furthering the Asian experience, elevating Asian creators, and giving back to our vibrant community.

What distinguishes your company and product in the market?
Our mission is to become the single most effective creator monetization tool out there. The problem with existing tools is that they restrict creators to either certain product offerings or business models. Ie, Cameo only allows creators to sell shoutouts while Patreon only allows creators to offer subscriptions.

We combine the best of all products into a single, powerful monetization platform for creators. With Jemi creators already make more than they do on other platforms, since they can offer their fans and audiences what they truly want.
