Managing Partner / Executive Chef– Michael Jong Lim

Mike Lim boasts over 26 years of restaurant experience, with 15 years in NYC’s fine dining scene. Working in a mix of Michelin rated restaurants including Aldea, Bouley, Eleven Madison Park, Masa BarMasa, and Fiamma Osteria have influenced him to develop techniques that pay homage to classical and Modern avante garde European as well as Asian cuisine. Chef Mike was a part of the management team of multiple restaurant openings including Citarella the restaurant in 2001, Aureole in 2007, and Neta in 2012. He also opened Neta as the chef de cuisine, eventually taking over overall operations and as executive chef.

 

Managing Partner / Chief Financial Officer – Jonathan Chu

Jonathan Chu has over a decade of experience in finance and more recently is a Managing Director of a privately owned real estate company focused on managing and leasing commercial property. Jonathan shares a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from art, culture, hospitality and nightlife concepts in New York City. More recently, Jonathan has been an integral partner in building the first Joie De Vivre (JDV) hotel and nightlife concept in New York City. His passion in bringing fresh and innovative concepts to LES and Chinatown has led him to open the first Chikarashi in Chinatown in May 2016. Jonathan is an avid supporter of the Asian American Community, participating as the Board of Directors of the Museum of Chinese in America as well as APEX, a growing organization focused on mentoring the underserved youth of NYC.

 

Managing Partner / Marketing Director – Ivy Tsang

Ivy Tsang is an advertising Creative Director-turned-hospitality entrepreneur. For over a decade, Ivy has broken barriers in the advertising industry, working in both traditional and digital agencies and building 360 campaigns across multiple platforms. She has a diverse range of clients spanning fashion, lifestyle, travel, beauty and hospitality – working with top brands such as American Express, Maybelline, LVMH Chandon, Victoria’s Secret, Brookfield Place, Western Union and Marriott. Most recently, her creativity is channeled through her restaurants, including Chikarashi. Taking an idea and bringing that idea to life is Ivy’s cup of tea. Her unique point of view and on-trend aesthetic adds to each of her concepts’ overall appeal.

 

Managing Partner / Operations Director – Selwyn Chan

Selwyn Chan has over 15 years of experience in the luxury fashion/retail industry in the realm of Retail Operations. The bulk of his experience is spent 12 years with Giorgio Armani, building a solid foundation in the luxury arena, with the highest degree of customer service/hospitality to a well-heeled international clientele. In addition, Selwyn has spent some time working under Christopher Burch, co-founder of luxury fashion brand Tory Burch, to oversee the launch of over 30 brick & mortar retail stores at a breakneck pace of at least one newly opened store per month.
