DANIEL CHONG
Daniel Chong is an American animator, director, and screenwriter best known as the creator of the Annie Award-winning Cartoon Network series We Bare Bears. Before achieving solo success, he built an extensive pedigree in the animation industry, serving as a storyboard artist for major studios including Blue Sky, Illumination, Walt Disney Animation, and Pixar. During this tenure, he contributed to several blockbuster films such as Cars 2, Inside Out, and The Lorax, honing a storytelling style characterized by emotional sincerity and quirky humor.

In 2026, Chong made his feature directorial debut with Pixar’s Hoppers, an original sci-fi comedy that follows a young girl who “”hops”” her consciousness into a robotic beaver to infiltrate the animal kingdom. Throughout his career, Chong has been a prominent voice for Asian American representation in the animation industry. He often weaves themes of belonging and the search for community into his narratives, drawing on his personal experiences to create stories that resonate across cultures.

PIPER CURDA
Piper Curda stars as the voice of “Mabel” in Disney-Pixar’s HOPPERS, the 30th film from the iconic animation studio. Most recently, Curda was seen recurring on CBS’s MATLOCK and AppleTV+’s THE MORNING SHOW. On the feature side, she played the daughter of Julianne Moore and Charles Melton in Todd Haynes’ MAY DECEMBER, which premiered at Cannes and was quicky purchased by Netflix. Other feature credits include key roles in BACK ON THE STRIP opposite Wesley Snipes and Tiffany Haddish, SHOWDOWN AT THE ODESSA opposite Terrence Howard, a lead in AMERICAN PIE PRESENTS GIRLS’ RULES for Netflix and THE WRETCHED, which set box office records in the midst of the pandemic. She also just wrapped filming THE DREGS alongside Nava Mau, Charlie Gillespie, and Maddie Phillips. As for TV, she had a major recurring role on CW’s LEGACIES and has guest starred on shows including WATSON, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, THE FLASH, THE ROOKIE, and LAW & ORDER: SVU. Earlier in her career, Piper was a regular on Disney Channel’s I DIDN’T DO IT, the Emmy-nominated YouTube Red series YOUTH & CONSEQUENCES and played a key role in Disney Channel’s TEEN BEACH MOVIE 2.
