Gina Chon is Executive Editor of News and Live Journalism at Semafor, a media startup. She leads editorial programming for all of Semafor’s events and is also an editor for the newsroom’s tech, business, and CEO coverage. She has also worked at Reuters, the Financial Times, and the Wall Street Journal, covering economic policy, white collar crime, M&A, the auto industry, and the Iraq war. Her reporting has taken her all over the world, from Baghdad to Phnom Penh to Seoul. She also co-wrote a book, Behind the Killing Fields, based on exclusive interviews with the top surviving Khmer Rouge leader at the time.
