The blockbuster pioneer’s production company, Rideback, has generated over $5 billion dollars at the box office. This past year he produced the animated film “The LEGO Movie 2,” the live-action remake of “Aladdin” at Disney, the horror film “It: Chapter Two” for New Line, and the awards contender “The Two Popes” for Netflix, which earned three Oscar nominations. Lin has produced the entire LEGO Movie franchise and the “Sherlock Holmes” series of films at WB. In television, he is currently in pre-production on the series “Walker” for the CW.

In 2018, Lin founded Rideback Ranch, a creative campus and incubator in LA’s Historic Filipinotown that brings together diverse storytellers in a unique setting to inspire collaboration and innovation, as well as the Evolve Entertainment Fund to promote inclusion alongside filmmaker Ava DuVernay and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. Hailing from Taipei, Taiwan, Dan received his undergraduate degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
