Charlie Wen is a visionary pioneer in IP creation across film and games, shaping some of the most successful franchises in entertainment history. With over two decades of groundbreaking work, his creative leadership has propelled global phenomena like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, God of War, League of Legends, and Fortnite to unparalleled success.

Charlie’s career began at SCEA Santa Monica in 2001, where he founded and led Visual Development for the award-winning God of War franchise. As the creator of Kratos—one of the most iconic characters in video game history—he established the franchise’s signature aesthetic and epic world.

In 2009, Charlie co-founded and co-headed Marvel Studios’ Visual Development department, becoming the architect of the MCU’s visual identity. From establishing the cohesive design of all main characters to defining the look and feel of every MCU film in Phases 1 and 2, his influence extended from character designs to key cinematic moments across beloved films such as Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Winter Soldier, and Age of Ultron, among many others.

Charlie’s creative journey continued at Riot Games in 2014, where he spearheaded the League of Legends film division, before collaborating with MIT and Harvard to create the Imaginarium of Technology in 2016. That same year, he co-authored the critically acclaimed novel The Dragon King and founded TenSky Entertainment.

Since 2023, Charlie has been Chief Creative Officer at Epic Games, where he leads the creative vision for Fortnite and the company’s expanding metaverse, driving the future of digital entertainment on a global scale.
