Calvin is a core member of the CEO & Board Practices of Egon Zehnder, the world’s largest privately held executive search & leadership advisory firm with 69 offices in 39 countries. He has led the growth of the firm’s Global Media & Entertainment Practice to be the largest and most diverse team addressing organization, culture, team, and talent issues facing the segment.

He works with investors, boards, principals, and world leaders shaping successions, advancing governance, unlocking transformation, discovering, and developing leaders in media, entertainment, digital, sports, luxury, and other consumer & technology sectors. His clients include established companies with a genuine appetite for transformation (“disrupted”), as well as those that innovate and change consumer behavior (“disruptors”). Over the decades, he has worked equally with leaders and organizations, balancing the intersection of creativity (“creatives that operate”), business (“operators who are creative”), technology, and impact on the world. He serves as a guide in the discovery process, sounding board for decisions, partner in achieving goals, co-designer in ambitions, motivator when strong action is called for, and a wakeup call, when needed.

Prior, Calvin held leadership roles at several consulting firms, where he helped leaders drive organizational change. He began his career in civil rights enforcement and community relations. He has invested in, advised, and served on the boards of early-stage growth companies. His passions include education reform, advancing the cause of the disadvantaged, cooking, and consuming non-fiction.
