Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Gold House’s Social Media team to promote literary programming, including developing content (author interviews and other creative pieces), captions, and relevant news highlighting API books and authors, weaving literary programming into our ongoing social content (at least 1 post per week)
- Assist with ongoing content production and communication – help with weekly/biweekly newsletter programming; work with the team to engage community partners, including book industry partners, publishers, non-profit organizations, schools, libraries, etc
- Work with GH Social and Growth team members to measure and report on metrics in order to iterate and optimize our social and community efforts
Role Requirements
- 1-2 years of professional work experience
- Experience in social media marketing and/or community management
- Proficient in content development, including basic video editing and graphic design
- Understanding of current online book ecosystem and social communities
- Interest in and knowledge of API authors and books
- Passion for amplifying and engaging API communities
- Each Fellow commitment is one year long
- Commits the equivalent of a minimum of 5 hours per week (on average) to their volunteer work with Gold House
