Public Relations Consultant or Agency (RFP)

LOS ANGELES OR NEW YORK

Gold House is a cultural platform where culture shapes global opportunity.

We sit at the intersection of entertainment, entrepreneurship, and cultural advocacy, reshaping society through a multi-pillar ecosystem: Entertainment (cultural consulting, marketing, and promotions); investment funds like Gold House Ventures (technology) and Gold House Studios (original productions); accelerating the next generation through Futures; and mainstream cultural change (Gold100, Gold Gala, cultural holidays, media networks, and more). Our work has earned global recognition across mainstream society, while our community includes the most influential creators, founders, and executives across industries worldwide.

We are an ambitious, lean, world-class team devoted to making history and shattering ceilings — and we are growing. If you are excited to define the next wave of culture that brings us all closer, we’d love to meet you.

Background & Opportunity

Gold House has a rich and supportive media network across industry and lifestyle press outlets. We are seeking a public relations consultant or boutique agency to further build and extend our PR reach holistically throughout the year — moving beyond event-driven coverage to sustained, proactive storytelling across all pillars. The ideal candidate will have deep, existing relationships across top outlets and leading journalists across the entertainment, business, lifestyle, and news categories to reach our key goals:

Awareness & Reach — Expand beyond the Asian Pacific community to penetrate mainstream audiences and media, building Gold House’s profile as a leading cultural institution.

Partnership Growth — Elevate Gold House’s credibility and visibility to attract new sponsors, donors, and institutional partners in new industries, broadening the aperture of organizations that want to work with us.

Scope of Work

Earned Media & Press Strategy
  • Develop and execute a year-round PR calendar aligned to Gold House’s programming and cultural calendar
  • Draft and pitch press releases for owned and affiliate (e.g., Gold House Ventures portfolio companies) launches and cultural moments
  • Proactively pitch stories across entertainment, business, lifestyle, and culture verticals
  • Secure coverage in mainstream national outlets alongside trade and community press
  • Manage press relationships and media list development on behalf of Gold House
Pillar-Specific Support
  • Entertainment — support for studio partnerships and campaigns, including talent-driven opportunities, events, programs, and other announcements
  • Ventures — press around GHV moments, portfolio companies, and investment milestones
  • Gold House Studios — production moments, festival milestones, and distribution announcements
  • Futures — coverage for emerging talent, program announcements
  • Cultural Moments — Gold100, Gold Gala, cultural holidays and campaigns
Executive & Thought Leadership
  • Position Gold House leadership as voices on cultural equity, representation, entertainment, and entrepreneurship
  •  Identify and secure speaking opportunities, op-ed placements, and awards/recognition submissions
Reporting & Communication
  • Provide monthly coverage reports and KPI tracking
  • Regular syncs with the Gold House leadership team
  • Responsive, collaborative communication with a lean in-house team

What We’re Looking For

  • An individual consultant or boutique agency that has demonstrated experience in cross-industry PR spanning culture, entertainment, and business
  • Brings existing relationships with mainstream business, culture, and entertainment media
  • Understands the Asian Pacific community without being limited to it — and can credibly bridge both worlds
  • Is collaborative and nimble, able to work effectively alongside an in-house team
  • Brings a proactive pitch mentality, not just reactive press management

Proposal Requirements

  • Personal Bio or Agency Overview — size, structure, and relevant experience
  • Proposed Team — names, bios, and intended roles/time allocation for this account
  • Strategic Approach — your initial thinking on how you’d build sustained, mainstream coverage for Gold House across its pillars
  • Relevant Case Studies — 2–3 examples of analogous client work, including measurable outcomes
  • Sample Pitch Angles — a few illustrative story ideas you’d pursue in the first 90 days (we can provide a list of upcoming moments, events, campaigns, programs)
  • Measurement & Reporting — how you track and demonstrate success
  • Fee Structure — monthly retainer, scope assumptions, and any additional costs
  • References — two client references available upon request

Evaluation Criteria

  • Strategic thinking and quality of proposed approach
  • Relevance and strength of case studies
  • Seniority and continuity of proposed team
  • Media relationships and demonstrated mainstream reach
  • Cultural fluency and authentic understanding of the Asian Pacific community
  • Value relative to fee
