Kyle is the son of Cheng and Yu Mei Lee. After immigrating from Taiwan to Alaska in the late 70’s they opened a restaurant where Kyle and his sister, Sheema, were raised. After being surrounded by this environment Kyle witnessed the adversities and challenges his parents faced as immigrants in America. Through these experiences is where Kyle developed his foundation for hard work and grit.

“I worked in the restaurant when I was young. As soon as I could do math, I ran the cash registers. It helped me learn how money works,” Lee said. “By watching my parents and listening in on how they communicated, it imbued fiscal literacy and responsibility from the start.”
