Phillip Sun is the founder and CEO of 1v1 Entertainment, a full-service management firm advancing clients’ global enterprise ambitions.
For the last twenty-one years, he has dedicated himself to pushing forward multi-cultural talent and story-telling, with clients including Academy Award Winner Michael B. Jordan, Emmy Award Winner Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Gemma Chan, Simu Liu, Caleb McLaughlin, Lance Gross, Jaalen Best, Sullivan Stapleton, Stephanie Suganami, and Lucien Laviscount.
Sun began his career in the William Morris Agency mailroom in 2005, and then transitioned to WME in 2009 as the agency merged with Endeavor. In 2015, he became one of the first Asian American agents to be promoted to partner at the agency. He utilized his platform to push for change as co-founder of Empower at WME. Following this, he co-founded and served as former co-founder and managing partner of M88, the first major BIPOC-led representation and management company. Sun most recently launched 1v1 Entertainment in 2025.
He has appeared in The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Generation list, Empowerment list, and was previously honored on the A100 Most Impactful Asians list in 2021.
Sun is a proud graduate of The College of William & Mary in Virginia, and currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife (Perri) and two sons (Quinn and Ryder).
