Gold House is a cultural platform where culture shapes global opportunity.
We sit at the intersection of entertainment, entrepreneurship, and cultural advocacy, reshaping society through a multi-pillar ecosystem: Entertainment (cultural consulting, marketing, and promotions); investment funds like Gold House Ventures (technology) and Gold House Studios (original productions); accelerating the next generation through Futures; and mainstream cultural change (Gold100, Gold Gala, cultural holidays, media networks, and more). Our work has earned global recognition across mainstream society, while our community includes the most influential creators, founders, and executives across industries worldwide.
We are an ambitious, lean, world-class team devoted to making history and shattering ceilings — and we are growing. If you are excited to define the next wave of culture that brings us all closer, we’d love to meet you.
The Opportunity
Gold House is hiring a Director of Experiences to own one of the most visible and consequential pillars of the organization: how Gold House shows up in the real world. This is a senior leadership role responsible for the full spectrum of Gold House’s Experiences strategy — from executive producing our biggest tentpole moments, including the Gold Gala, Gold Lunar New Year, and Gold Diwali, to activating strategically at mainstream cultural moments (from awards season to tech conferences) to building the portfolio of physical and Experiences touchpoints that will define Gold House’s next phase.
The right person for this role is an executive producer and general manager in one: someone who can both hold the creative vision for a 700-person gala and the strategic vision for a 3-year experience roadmap. You understand every moving part of a world-class event — venue, talent, programming, guest experience, partnerships, production, comms — and you know how to deploy each one in service of a moment that lands in culture. You’re also a business thinker: you can look at an event portfolio and see a monetization strategy, and you can look at a building or a festival and see a Gold House activation that doesn’t exist yet. This role reports to the VP of Growth and Partnerships and works in close partnership with the Head of Brand & Content, the Director of Business Development, and senior leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as executive producer and GM across Gold House’s flagship cultural moments — the Gold Gala, Gold Lunar New Year, Gold Diwali, and new tentpoles as the portfolio grows — owning each event from creative concepting and theme development through run of show, on-site execution, and post-event reporting
- Manage a small but agile internal team and a network of production agencies, vendors, and freelancers to execute at the highest level; know when to delegate and when to roll up your sleeves — filling gaps on the details when agencies need direction or events demand it
- Own the full P&L across the experiences arm: budgeting, forecasting, vendor contracts, invoice approvals, and reconciliation, in partnership with the Head of Revenue and finance
- Lead guest experience end-to-end — invitation strategy, RSVP management, VIP handling, arrival, programming flow, and follow-up — ensuring every touchpoint reflects the Gold House brand
- Partner with the talent team on talent and speaker integration for tentpole programming
- Collaborate with the sales team to concept sponsorship activations within events and own delivery of partner commitments
- Work cross-functionally with Brand & Content to ensure every tentpole generates a full content ecosystem — pre-event, live, and post
- Develop and steward Gold House’s multi-year experiences roadmap — how we grow and monetize the existing portfolio, how we activate strategically at mainstream cultural moments (film festivals, award season, conferences), and where we build new owned IP across events, physical spaces, and other Experiences touchpoints
- Build the operational infrastructure — systems, runbooks, vendor relationships, and team playbooks — that allows Gold House to scale its experiences without sacrificing quality or relying on heroic individual effort
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Background
- 10+ years of professional experience in event production, Experiences marketing, or live entertainment, with a demonstrated track record of executive-producing large-scale, high-profile events and a portfolio that demonstrates both creative ambition and operational excellence
- Experience in a GM or program management role that required strategic thinking in creating and launching new products or event franchises
- Experience managing multiple agencies and vendors and end-to-end event P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, vendor negotiation, and financial reconciliation
- Background working in or alongside organizations at the intersection of entertainment, media, culture, or brand — with a strong intuition for what a premium, culturally resonant event feels like
- Genuine passion for and familiarity with Asian Pacific culture, communities, and representation — and the ability to produce experiences that feel authentic, resonant, and celebratory to the Asian Pacific community
- Owns a network of vendor and contractor relationships across LA, SF, and NYC
Skills & Competencies
- Executive producer instincts: you can hold the full picture of a complex, multi-day event in your head — budget, creative, talent, guest list, production, comms, partnerships — and never drop a thread
- Strategic portfolio thinker: you can look at a slate of events and see a business; you think about the experiences arm as a revenue-generating, brand-building engine, not a cost center
- Talent and VIP management fluency: you understand the creative and logistical implications of talent-anchored programming
- Partnership activation expertise: you know how to design activations that deliver for partners without compromising guest experience or brand integrity
- Guest experience obsession: you think about every moment of the guest journey — invite, RSVP, arrival, program, departure, follow-up — and you hold it to a high standard
- Operational rigor: you build systems and spreadsheets that keep multiple internal and external stakeholders organized and on-track
- Cross-functional collaborator: you can operate at the center of a complex web of internal stakeholders — brand, content, BD, programs, finance — and bring them together around a shared vision for what an event should be
Compensation & Benefits
- The base salary range for this role is $125,000 – $160,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus.
- Health, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits
- Opportunity to participate in Gold House programs and experiences
- Opportunity to define the trajectory of a mission-driven, fast-growing, mainstream-impactful organization
About the Team
You will be joining Gold House at a pivotal moment — as we enter the next phase of our growth centered around connection through culture, in which experiences play a pivotal role. You will have a strong existing team, a deep bench of vendor and partner relationships, and the backing of an organization with a decade of brand equity and a community of the most influential Asian Pacific leaders in the world.
Gold House is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We strongly encourage candidates from all communities to apply.
