Hanson Li

SALT Partners Group, Founder, Managing Partner

Born in Hong Kong and growing up in Asia and cold Rochester NY, Hanson founded Salt Partners, a F&B conglomerate in 2014.  Salt is an active partner in Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream (recognized as Top 5 ice cream by Food Network), High-Proof (with award winning bars Last Rites and Horsefeather), Lazy Susan (a Chinese-take out concept that’s a Fast Casual “Brand to Watch”), and Sunday Bakeshop.  Hanson is also an active investor in the intersection of food and technology (PlateIQ, Workstream, Bikky, Entree, Expo, Ritual, Mealogic) and F&B companies (Saison, Pecking House, Hi-Lo Taco, Sanzo, Impact Foods, Sufferfest Beer, Nectar). Prior to Salt, he spent 10 years as Managing Director at The Hina Group, a China focused private equity firm and investment bank.  He graduated from Stanford Graduate School of Business as a Siebel Scholar (awarded to top 5 graduates) and Arjay Miller Scholar.  He also holds a BA and MA from Stanford.  He currently sits on the board of Golden Gate Restaurant Association, Center for Asian America Media, and the advisory board of OpenTable.
