JOSEPHINE ANTOCI
Josephine Antoci is the President and co-owner of Erewhon. A Taiwanese-American entrepreneur and UCLA alumna, Antoci acquired the brand’s sole remaining location in Los Angeles’ Fairfax District with her husband, Tony, in 2011. Under her leadership, the chain has expanded to 12 locations across Southern California, achieving a reputation as the world’s most exclusive grocery destination with a reported annual revenue exceeding $170 million.
Antoci serves as the company’s “chief tastemaker,” personally overseeing product curation and ensuring every item on the shelves meets rigorous nutritional and aesthetic standards. She is widely credited with pivoting Erewhon toward being a luxury wellness lifestyle, spearheading the expansion of its upscale cafes and the development of viral, celebrity collaboration smoothies. Her commitment to a “clean eating” philosophy, focusing on organic, non-GMO, and biodynamic products, has earned her recognition on Forbes’ 50 Over 50 list and solidified her influence in the retail and wellness industries. Through her meticulous attention to detail and brand identity, Antoci has successfully turned a simple grocery trip into a coveted social experience and a benchmark for modern luxury retail.
