Byunghoon Kim

CEO, APR (medicube)

Byunghoon Kim is the founder and CEO of APR Corporation, the South Korea–based company behind global beauty and lifestyle brands including Medicube, Aprilskin, and Forment. Since founding APR in 2014 at age 26, Kim has focused on building consumer-first brands powered by technology, operational execution, and data-driven marketing.

Kim studied Business Administration at Yonsei University and began his entrepreneurial career early, forming his first startup team at 22. Under his leadership, APR has achieved 11 consecutive years of year-over-year quarterly growth, expanding from a domestic startup into a global beauty-tech company with strong performance across e-commerce, retail, and content-driven commerce channels.

APR reached unicorn status in 2023 and successfully listed on Korea’s KOSPI in 2024, becoming one of the youngest Korean companies to join the country’s main stock exchange within a decade of founding. In 2025, APR became the No. 1 beauty company by market capitalization in the KOSPI beauty sector.

Kim is recognized as a next-generation business leader helping drive the global expansion of K-beauty and advancing the integration of skincare, technology, and digital commerce.
