Founder and CEO, Bilt

Ankur Jain is an American entrepreneur and investor, whose mission is to solve the real life problems that everyday people are facing all over the world including student debt, affordable housing, childcare, work retention, and retirement.

Currently, Jain is the founder and CEO of Bilt Rewards, his latest venture revolutionizing the housing market, and the first major loyalty program that allows renters to earn points on rent and build a path towards homeownership. Bilt Rewards operates as both a loyalty program and a co-branded credit card, the Bilt Mastercard. The Bilt Rewards loyalty program was developed in partnership with an alliance of the nation’s largest multifamily owner/operators, representing 2.5 million units across the US. The Bilt Mastercard was developed with and issued by Wells Fargo as the first and only credit card that can be used to pay rent at any apartment with no fee. Just a year and a half since inception, Bilt Mastercard was named Best No Annual Fee credit card by The Points Guy Awards 2022. In October 2022, Bilt Rewards announced a growth round of $150 million led by Left Lane Capital with investment from Smash Capital, Wells Fargo, Greystar, Invitation Homes, Camber Creek, Fifth Wall, and Prosus Ventures to further expand its loyalty program and credit card. Jain has grown the company to a valuation of $1.5 billion since its launch in June 2021.

Prior to launching Bilt Rewards, Jain was the founder and CEO of Kairos, a venture studio for young entrepreneurs that has helped launch and grow over $6.5bn worth of companies solving problems from housing to healthcare. Kairos was a partner in President Barack Obama’s StartUp America Partnership. Through Kairos, Jain has helped launch Rhino, a vehicle to replace security deposits with a low monthly fee and has partnered with UK-based start up, Cera, to bring home to the elderly. Jain incubated Bilt Rewards at Kairos.

Before joining Kairos in May 2017, Jain was the Chief Product Officer at Tinder, the world’s largest social network for meeting people. He joined Tinder after it acquired his previous technology company, Humin, an address book app that organized contacts by contextual clues, where he served as Founder & CEO.

Over the years, Jain has been recognized for a variety of achievements on notable lists. In 2017, he was named a “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum. In 2011, Inc. magazine named Ankur Jain the “Best Connected 21-Year-Old in the World” and awarded Jain “30 Under 30”. In 2012, he was named “30 under 30: Solution Broker” by the Christian Science Monitor. In 2015, Forbes also named Jain to their “30 under 30” list.

Jain currently serves on the innovation board of the X-Prize foundation and as a member of the Pacific Council on Foreign Relations. This year he is launching the Bilt Foundation.

Jain was born in Bellevue, Washington to world renowned tech entrepreneurs. Jain graduated from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in May 2011 and currently resides in New York with his fiancé.
