Danaus Chang

As a GTM operator, founder, and advisor, Danaus is passionate about helping early-stage startups accelerate sales traction by doing more with less. As the President and Co-Founder of Awning.com, a real estate investor marketplace, he raised $11.3M in seed capital and drove revenue through product-led growth and outbound sales strategies, resulting in a strategic acquisition in 2024.

An expert in scaling sales and business development teams for B2B/SaaS companies, Danaus has held numerous GTM roles contributing to hypergrowth and significant investor value. As VP of Sales and BD at UserTesting, he introduced an enterprise sales process that scaled the company from $15M to $50M ARR, leading to its IPO. His last four companies all achieved successful exits.

An active advisor, Danaus has guided dozens of startups from Seed to Series C+ stages, helping founders build revenue engines and assemble high-performing sales teams. His mentorship has supported founders at StandardMetrics, Numeric, Ender, Patlytics, Chooose, Zeroheight, and BlueOcean, among others, in scaling revenue and securing follow-on funding.

Holding a finance degree from the University of Texas, Danaus is also an avid real estate investor focusing on residential properties. Splitting his time between Dallas-Fort Worth and San Francisco, he enjoys trying adventurous foods, finding “good deals,” and collecting overpriced sneakers. He is also a dedicated husband and father.
