Laura Lee is a seasoned tech and media executive, advisor, and board director. Driven by her commitment to help all streamers thrive, Laura is known for galvanizing teams to action, her creative approach to problem solving, and her ability to operationalize a strategic vision – even and especially amidst sensitive and difficult challenges. Laura revels in moving fast, while thoughtfully bringing products to market that unlock new opportunities for live entertainment and the entire content community Since 2022, Laura has been the Chief Content Officer at Twitch, the premier live streaming service for primarily gaming creators, owned by Amazon.
She previously advised growth companies like Patreon and McKinsey and has served on public and private boards. Laura has also held senior positions at various media, tech, and consumer companies including NBCU, Margaritaville, and YouTube.
At YouTube, Laura oversaw North American Content, the top revenue-generating division of YouTube (>$5BN) and created the Global Top Creator team. Prior to YouTube, Laura held various roles at Viacom from 2003-2007, including VP of Business Development and Operations at MTV Networks.
Laura enjoys being an impact-driven director on public and private boards. She currently serves on the board of The Arena Group (NYSE: AREN), a hybrid media/tech company where she chairs the Audit Committee and sits on the Compensation Committee. She previously served on the board of MediaCo (NASDAQ: MDIA), American Apparel, and WatchMojo.
Laura proudly serves as a class officer for her Brown University class, is an active alumna of Harvard Business School, the President of her Condo Board, and is Co-Chair of the Packer Asian Families Alliance (the Asian affinity group at her children’s school in Brooklyn Heights). She is a lover of karaoke (especially soul/R&B hits), avid tennis player, aspiring doubles squash player, and proud squash mom.
